Bistriški vintgar ... / Bistrica Gorge ...

ENLISH VERSION AT THE BOTTOM...

Iščemo slap Žleb, ravno tisti čas pridejo mimo domačini in še nikoli niso slišali zanj ... ja super!

Kamnolom / Roman quarry

Ana was here

Pot do slapa / The way to the waterfall

Slap Šum / Waterfall Šum

Ostanki mlina / Mill remainings

Ostanki mlina / Mill remainings

Grad / Castle in Slovenska Bistrica

Grajska kapela / Castle chapel

ENGLISH VERSION:

The last beautiful days are perfect for walks and this time I finally was in Bistrica Gorge.
Given that I have already been in Oplotnica gorge and Bled gorge, the Bistrica gorge was a big surprise ... If you expect a straight and simple paths and tracks, you are terriby wrong ...

From Celje we left at 10 am and the first stop for coffee was in Konjice in the same old place - White horse.

We went to the Bistrica, towards Impol, past restaurant Potočnica and park at the water pumping station, right next to the entrance to the gorge.

We checked the map and off we go...

In some parts of the path it is steep, muddy, the leaves are wet, even you will not escape from jumping over the stones and rocks! In some areas you can land in the water with one wrong movement.
We were looking for a waterfall Žleb, just at that time the locals came by and have never heard of him ... yes great! Later, we found out that we went past him but we still did not found the waterfall. The designation is only for the Roman quarry and Waterfall Šum ...

Since it was already late hour, 20 minutes before the end we decided to go back, so we did not go the whole way on the map. Don't  we all love darkness at 4 pm?!

We walked for about 4 hours, it would probably be less, but if you're in the company of two lovers of photography is just longer the procedure: P ...

As we have just been in the Slovenska Bistrica we made a quick stop at the castle. We did not decided for a tour because we were literally destroyed from walking, so we just watched the surroundings and the castle chapel.

Another stop for lunch / dinner in Larmonija on risotto with saffron and shrimps ... mmmmm ...

I do not know when was the last time I was the whole way home quiet. This "little walk" in the gorge was not so innocent. I neglected the mountains this year ... I'll do better next year..

Domači čokoladni liker.../ Homemade Chocolate liquor...

English version at the bottom!!

Homemade chocolate liquor

Potrebujemo:
  • 1 l mleka
  • 200 g čokolade v prahu
  • 0,5 l ruma
  • 80 dag sladkorja

Ingredients

Pripravimo čokolado v prahu in 0,5 l mleka, ter ju zmešamo skupaj.

Pripravimo preostanek mleka in sladkor.

Dobili bomo okoli 1,7 l likerja.

In naš liker je pripravljen. Enostavno ne?
Uživajte!

Domače Jaffa rezine ... / Homemade Jaffa cake...

Če ste ljubitelji pomaranč in sočnega peciva, so domače Jaffa rezine pravi odgovor.

Juicy homemade Jaffa cake ..

  Biskvit:

  • 5 jajc
  • 24 žlic sladkorja
  • 24 žlic mleka
  • 24 žlic olja
  • 24 žlic moke
  • 1 pecilni prašek

Nadev:
  • 4 zmrznjene pomaranče
  • 20 dag sladkorja
  • 1 dl vode
  • 4 žlice mareličnega džema ali marmelade
  • 2 vanilijeva sladkorja

Preliv:
  • 5 dag margarine
  • 2 dl mleka
  • 20 dag čokolade v prahu

Ingredients

Pripravimo jajca, mleko, olje, sladkor, moko in pecilni prašek.
Vse sestavine zmešamo skupaj.
Pripravimo pekač in peki papir.
Maso vlijemo v pekač in pečemo 30 minut na 180°C.

Zmrznjene pomaranče narežemo na majše konce in jih damo v blender. Zmeljemo z lupino.

Pripravimo vodo, vanilijev sladkor, sladkor in džem.
Vse sestavine zmešamo skupaj.
Dodamo pomaranče.

Biskvit prerežemo na pol.
Zgornji del biskvita zdrobimo.
Dodamo pomarančni nadev.
Nadev polijemo po biskvitu.

Pripravimo margarino, čokolado v prahu in mleko.
Margarino stopimo in dodamo mleko in čokolado.
Prelijemo po nadevu in pustimo v hladilniku par ur.

Ekola in so Jaffa rezine končane!
Sočno in sladko popoldne vam želim! :)

ENGLISH VERSION:

I never liked Jaffa cookies. For me, they have too much artificial flavor. A couple of years ago I got  this recipe and I was impressed with the full and juicy orange flavor which you will never get in Jaffa cakes. If you are a fan of oranges and  juicy pastries, homemade Jaffa cakes is the answer.

We will need:
Shortcake:
  •  5 eggs
  • 24 tablespoons sugar
  • 24 tablespoons milk
  • 24 tablespoons oil
  • 24 tablespoons flour
  • 1 baking powder
Filling:
  • 4 frozen oranges
  • 20 g sugar
  • 1 dl water
  • 4 tablespoons apricot jam or marmalade
  • 2 vanilla sugar

Dressing:

  • 5 dag margarine
  • 2 dl milk
  • 20 dag chocolate powder

Prepare an egg, milk, oil, sugar, flour and baking powder.
Mix all together together.

Prepare a baking sheet and baking paper.
Pour into the pan and bake 30 minutes at 180 ° C.

Slice frozen oranges and place them in a blender. Grind the peel. Oranges can be cut before they are frozen, the only problem is that they lose more fluid this way.
Prepare water, vanilla sugar, sugar and jam.

Mix all ingredients together.
Add the oranges.

Cut the cake in half.
Crush the upper part of the cake.
Add the orange filling.
Pour the filling onto the biscuit.

Prepare margarine, chocolate powder and milk.
All ingredients must melt.
Pour the filling and leave in the refrigerator a couple of hours.

Enjoy!
